Rust Remover
Thintech Rust Remover is a powerful solution designed to effectively eliminate light to medium surface rust from various metal surfaces. Follow these easy steps for optimal results:
Surface Preparation:
- Ensure the metal surface is free of any chipping or flaking paint, as well as heavily corroded areas. Use a wire brush or other abrasive material to clean the surface thoroughly.
Rust Removal:
- While the surface is still wet, gently scrub the rusted area with the rust remover. Do not allow the solution to dry while cleaning, as this may affect its effectiveness.
- If using soak method refer to application method above.
- Level C TCVN 8790: 2011 surface cleaning.
Safety Precautions:
- Always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling any chemical, including Thintech Rust Remover. This includes gloves, mask and safety goggles to protect your hands and eyes.
Application:
- Shake then apply ThinTech Rust Remover using a pump sprayer or a brush. Allow the product to react with the substrate for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the level of rust. Ensure the surface remains wet with the solution during this time. Soaking method is also effective at removing rust on tools and parts. Soak for 15-30 minutes scrub if necessary.
Cleanup:
- Rinse the area with water and wipe the cleaned area with a clean cloth. If rust is still present after the initial treatment, consider repeating the previous steps. For severely corroded areas, sanding or using a wire wheel may also be necessary for complete removal.
- Allow a Dry Time of 1- 3 hours
